This was a wonderful tour. The guide was so informative and obviously loved her job. This was our first Viator tour and definitely won't be our last. We were so pleased with the time and information we got for the price. Highly recommend this tour and Viator.

Our tour guide was very informative. I have been on several Vatican Museum tours, but this was the best yet.

we thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and her command of the English language was excellent. This is our second tour with Viator and we will again, look to them when we return to Rome in the future

Having done the tour before in a larger group we found it very worthwhile going on the small group tour. Get to hear more detail and see much more even though it was an early start. Igor was a very knowledgable and entertaining guide.

Our guide Ettori was an expert on all things Vatican City in addition to his lovely sense of humor and patience. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and the lines to enter the Museum were long. INCREDIBLY long, up to a two hour wait, so needless to say the skip the line feature is worth every penny. Once inside, Ettori navigated our group of about 20 through mazes and swarms of people with deft expertise. Using earphones we could all hear him clearly. Our tour 100 lived up to the description in terms of viewing everything listed and more. A few tips before seeing the Vatican - it is not air conditioned. It was only 70 degrees the day we visited, however it was blazing hot inside with the thousands of other visitors. Dress light and when your guide insists of getting water, do it. Also pack your patience. Your going to need with the crowding. The Vatican does not limit the number of people inside and at times it is nearly unbearable. And then you remind yourself of where you are and what you are experiencing, and realize it's still worth it. The true gem of this tour, though, was Ettori. A true professional.

This is absolutely worth it! The lines really do start to get crazy long. This truly avoids all lines and cuts down the waiting time. It helps to start that early also. I did the 8am tour with Elena and she was FANTASTIC!

Our guide was Lindy - she was great. This tour costs more than some others but the catch with those other tours might be that you have to come up with the money for the museum ticket at the beginning of the tour. And since the museum is the majority of the tour my tour anyway, the tour would be a waste of money without the museum part. Glad it was built in to my package price...I would be leaving a bad review if I had experienced a major hidden cost like that.
No photos or videos in the Sustine Chapel, but that's a rule imposed by the Vatican, not by the tour guide.
The guided tour ends before St Peter's Basilica, but the ticket price includes the basilica so budget an extra 30-45 minutes if you plan to wander around in the basilica, or in St Peter's Square afterwards.
