Truly NOT TO BE MISSED, limited number of visitors get your tickets beforehand. The art is amazing do yourself a favor and look up on the web what is in the Museum, to me it was all about Bernini his David takes on a totally different scope than Michelangelo's to me more lifelike. But to each their own, comparing apples and oranges.
Your guide WILL take your purse and any bags that are not see through and lock them up in a cage. When you meet your group outside make SURE you are with the right group, they are on a timeclock and will NOT wait for you, do NOT be late.

From picking up our tickets, having our coats and bags stored to the tour itself I can't fault this. Pia our tour guide was excellent - an art historian who brought the subject alive - she had a great sense of humour when explaining some of the roman sculptors' customs. Did nor expect the garden tour at the end and some people left before this but I would recommend it. Really interesting and it took you from the museum to near the top of the Spanish steps which made it easier to get your bearings for making your way back into town.

This was a great choice. My family was there on July 31st which was a Sunday. The lines were crazy. Thankfully we had this option or a lot of time would have been wasted. I would recommend this to anyone strapped for time or looking to evade the crowds.
What a lovely afternoon this was.
