The Gallery is overwhelming in its treasures. Our guide took us to various highlights and expertly revealed hidden themes and images. She also gave us clear and concise histories of painters, sculptors, and relevant biographical detail. She then took us for a walk in the surrounding parks, finishing with a view of the city from a plaza at one end of the park. The chief value of the tour lies in its selective and directed view of the Gallery's highlights. Our tour guide, a native Roman, not only knew the Gallery's creatures, but loved her work, her city, and her culture. First rate!

Our tour guide, Rebecca, was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the museum. This was one of my favorite stops during our two weeks in Italy, mostly because of the appreciation I gained for Bernini. His sculptures on display here are some of the most breathtaking works of art we saw in the country. Michelangelo gets too much hype -- Bernini is the master! The gardens are lovely as well.

The gallery is of course amazing but you don't need a review to know that. The Viator service was really pretty good - there are lots of groups milling around and getting everyone sorted isn't easy. The pace was good but the best part was our good - a lady whose name I sadly forget. She was AMAZING!

Truly NOT TO BE MISSED, limited number of visitors get your tickets beforehand. The art is amazing do yourself a favor and look up on the web what is in the Museum, to me it was all about Bernini his David takes on a totally different scope than Michelangelo's to me more lifelike. But to each their own, comparing apples and oranges.
Your guide WILL take your purse and any bags that are not see through and lock them up in a cage. When you meet your group outside make SURE you are with the right group, they are on a timeclock and will NOT wait for you, do NOT be late.
