Itinerary:
Day 1: New York City – Niagara Falls, NY and Canada

Climb on board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach for an early morning departure from the Big Apple, through Upstate New York to Watkins Glen, a small, quiet town in the scenic Finger Lakes region. Make a stop at Watkins Glen National Park, then continue on to iconic Niagara Falls for a late afternoon arrival. Explore the American side of the falls, which will be colorfully illuminated for the evening, before an overnight stay at Super 8 Niagara Falls Ontario (or a similar accommodation) on the Canadian side of the falls.

Day 2: Niagara Falls – Toronto – Gananoque, Canada (breakfast included)

After breakfast at the hotel, it’s time for a Maid of the Mist boat cruise. This is the ultimate Niagara Falls activity and no trip to the falls is complete without it. Grab an included poncho and get up close and personal with the falls. Feel the cool spray and the powerful sounds of the water. This is the experience of a lifetime for those taking the tour between mid-May and October.

Outside of those dates, take an equally exciting “Journey Behind the Falls” to explore the scenic tunnels below and behind the Canadian Horseshoe Falls. Make no mistake — this is as close to the falls as anyone wants to be. The sound is like thunder and the view is breathtaking. Stand back, or in this case stand just close enough to feel the power. It’s exhilarating.

After Niagara Falls, make a quick stop in the quaint town of Niagara-on-the-Lake, the birthplace of Ontario's modern wine industry (May-October only; in April, go directly to Toronto) before continuing to Toronto.

In Toronto, spend four or five hours sightseeing, visiting the likes of Toronto City Hall, CF Toronto Eaton Centre and the iconic skyline landmark CN Tower, to name a few. Take some time for dinner (own expense) before boarding the coach and traveling east along the top of beautiful Lake Ontario to the town of Gananoque, located in the Thousand Islands region, where the lake turns into the St Lawrence River.

After this full day of sightseeing, spend the evening at the Clarion Inn and Conference Center in Gananoque (May-October only; in April, return to Super 8 Niagara Falls Ontario (or a similar accommodation) in Niagara Falls, Canada.

Day 3: Gananoque, Canada – New York City (breakfast included)

The highlight of the final day of the tour is a scenic 1-hour cruise from Rockport, Ontario, traveling down the St. Lawrence River to see the beautiful Thousand Islands along the US-Canadian border (May-October only; in April, visit the Welland Canal).

After the cruise, continue on the road back to New York City, making a stop to shop at the Crossings Premium Outlets, one of the largest outlet malls in the US with 100 name brand stores.

Finally, arrive back at Gray Line New York in the evening.

5 star trip, 3 star service. This is a great trip, which should be 5 star, but ours was spoilt by the poor organisation from the tour guides. We were an a trip with two guides looking after guests from four speaking nations. That was partly the problem. The front of the coach English and Hebrew, the back Spanish and Italian. The guides didn't seem to get on and there was poor communication throughout. Booking through viator we never received an itinerary so was unsure of the finer details of the trip and the guides never provided these. Also the quality of the two hotels we stayed at was poor, especially the hotel at Niagra, this hotel was very poor considering the cost of the trip. The most frustrating though was the guides inability to get some of their guests back on the coach at the allotted time. This trip takes in some fantastic sights and should be 5 star, so hopefully you will go and get better luck than we did. The pace of the trip is great, the places you see are wonderful and fir those alone this is worth the money. Plenty of travelling should be expected, but I hope you get good guides and they upgrade the hotels, then it would be a trip hard to beat.
