Get to know the village ancient history, the kings and queens and the house where it begun the April revolution that ended with the Portuguese dictatorship!
With our local guide you will visit the village main gate where you will know more about the village foundation, the romans and moors occupation.
Then we will pass through Rua Direita, tha main street of Óbidos to Saint Peter church where Josefa de Óbidos is buried. Josefa was an important barroque painters in Portugal.
After the Saint Peter church, we will visit the Saint Mary´s church and see more of Josefa de Óbidos works (inside the church) and the João Noronhas incredible tomb.
Outside the church, we to to the jewish corner and the old castle walls. We end our tour at Óbidos with a tasting of our local and traditional Sour Cherry Liquour.
