Day 2: Hong Kong – Guangzhou (L,D)
Enjoy breakfast at any of the local restaurants around your hotel (own expense).

Spend the majority of the day getting to know the bustling city of Hong Kong with your private guide. Then step into Harbour City, the largest shopping and entertainment center in Hong Kong.

Next, experience one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hong Kong – The Peak. To get there, board a ferry and spend the next 10-12 minutes crossing Victoria Harbour on your way to Central, Hong Kong’s central business district. The cruise itself is considered a unique Hong Kong cultural experience by locals and tourists alike.

You will then take the Peak Tram up to The Peak, or Victoria Peak, as it’s officially known. The eight-minute tram will give you a spectacular perspective of the city with stunning views of Hong Kong Island and Victoria Harbour. Once you reach the top of The Peak, enjoy more panoramic views, as well as the lovely garden.

When your sightseeing in Hong Kong comes to an end, leave by train from the Hong Hum Station and head to Guangzhou. Upon arrival in Guangzhou in the late afternoon, enjoy a private transfer to your hotel.

Day 3: Guangzhou (B,L,D)
After breakfast, board the subway with your guide to visit the famous Chen Clan Academy, a symmetric academic complex of 19 buildings with nine halls and six courtyards. Marvel at the exquisite traditional Chinese architecture and the large collection of different Chinese artwork, from wood carvings to pottery.

From there, your guide will lead you to Shamian Island, a historical area that serves as a reminder of the European colonial period. Admire several of these colonial structures, like the French Catholic Church, the British Protestant Church and various bronze structures depicting Western figures from the past and present.

Then, board a ferry for a 20-minute cruise through the Pearl River and view the sights of the modern part of Guangzhou from the water. You will end at Canton Tower, an observation tower that stands at 1,968 feet (600 meters), making it the tallest structure in China. Head up to one of the observation rooms to enjoy unobstructed panoramic views of the city.

Day 4: Guangzhou – Yuyin Garden and Lotus Mountain – Hong Kong (B,L)
When you’ve finished breakfast, head out on a trip to see some of Guangzhou’s beautiful landscapes. In a private vehicle, enjoy the drive to Yuyin Shan Fang (Yuyin Garden), one of the more famous gardens of the province. It has an ingenious layout consisting of pavilions, halls, bridges, lakes and hills. Stroll around the garden with your guide and take in the delicate artistic style of the temples and surrounding courtyards.

You will then be driven to Lotus Mountain (Lianhua Shan), appropriately named for the rocks that are formed in the shape of lotus flowers. Witness the unique scenery of its 48 red hills that boast both natural beauty and manmade sites. Admire the intricate architecture of one of the Buddhist temples, and see the majestic statue of Guanyin, made of 120 tons (109 metric tons) of bronze metal and 19 pounds (9 kg) of gold.
