We met our tour guide a few blocks from the Eiffel Tower and our group walked together to the Tower. We were able to pass the incredibly long lines of people waiting to buy a ticket and went directly to the elevator to start our tour. Our guide was very familiar with the history of building the Eiffel Tower and provided a few humorous back story's that you never hear about. For example, the Parisians protested and disliked the Eiffel Tower when it was built for the Worlds fair in 1889 and but then gradually came to like it! Our guide answered all of the questions our group asked and provided fascinating information on how often the tower is painted, what happened to the Tower during WW2 when the Parisians saved it from being used by the Nazis and how the architect of the tower Gustaff Eiffle had a secret apartment at the very top of the tower. All in all, this was a fun and informative tour because of our tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour to a friend.

Loved this tour. We went on the sunset tour which was spectacular. We had a group of about 20 and the tour took about 1.5 to 2 hrs and we could spend more time on the tower at the tour end. Excellent friendly guide, the meeting point was not at the tower which made it easy to find and assemble. Took the lift up tot he very top and walked down the steps. Well worth it, it was the highlight of our Paris trip. 2 adults and 2 teenagers.
