  • Day trip (destination A to B)
  • Enjoy a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city
  • Get inside tips from a local
  • Get up-close to native wildlife
Your Cliffs of Moher day trip will head out of Dublin in the early morning, making best use of the quiet roads.

Passing through rural County Dublin, you will see the rolling hills, shimmering lakes and medieval castles that typify the Irish midland countryside.

On arrival in County Clare, your guide will take you on a leisurely walk, over to the Cliffs of Moher, where you can enjoy unlimited photo opportunities. The cliffs are 702 feet (214 meters) high at their highest point and span more than 5 miles (8 km) of the coastline, creating a dramatic backdrop against the Atlantic Ocean. Take in spectacular views of the pretty Aran Islands and the Maum Turk mountains in Connemara to the south.

Continue on to the quaint village of Doolin for lunch in one of its four traditional Irish pub (for an additional cost), before walking it off with a stroll through Burren National Park – a vast limestone region, reminiscent of a lunar landscape, containing rare flowers. On your journey back to Dublin, you will travel via the scenic route on smaller roads overlooking the ocean. There will a brief stop for coffee near Galway Bay before arriving in Dublin in the early evening.

This tour was the perfect way to end my time in Ireland. Wayne our driver and guide missed his calling as a historian and comedian! I gained a deep appreciation for the history of Ireland and the events associated with the famine and those leading up to the Easter Uprising. The Cliffs are amazing, bring your walking shoes and camera. The stop at a local pub after the Cliffs was excellent. I had a nice serving of fish and chips but there were other options of typical Irish Pub fare, the service was fast and the price was very reasonable. Wayne made a recommendation to visit the Kilmeanham Goal to follow-up on the Uprising-great advice but make a reservation! This is the only way to see the Cliffs and enjoy the west coast of Ireland. This tour is best left to a skilled driver who is familiar with the roads and sites is the only way to go! I would recommend this tour to everyone!
