This was a lot of fun and it helps you really appreciate Tuscany. My wife and I spent 15 days in Italy, traveling from Venice, Milan, Florence, Cinque Terra, Ravenna, Rome, Naples, Pompeii. We went on probably 10 different tours, and this was our 2nd favorite behind the cooking class. You really can't lose with WalkaboutFlorence. You go to several locations, including San Gimignano, which is an awesome medieval Tuscan village. I had this strange feeling like I was there before in some distant memory, and then I realized I was, but it was in the video game Assassin's Creed. This particular tour is straight up Assassin's Creed, and if you ever played the historical video game, you'll find this tour extremely fun. The same goes for Sienna as well - another Assassin's Creed setting. Beyond making mental connections to a video game, there's a great deal of culture and history associated with this tour which is very fun. As a history teacher, I absorbed a lot. The tour guides are knowledgeable and do a great job. Pisa was very very cool. Make sure you do the option where you climb to the top of the leaning tower. It's not a tough climb at all, and not to sound simplistic, but it is seriously leaning! Haha. You'll appreciate that when you're at the top and walking around pretty gingerly. It's a great experience. This tour, along with the cooking class tour, made Tuscany our absolute favorite thing about Italy. Even better than Rome. Do the tour :

This was a fantastic tour. Our guide, Elisa, was wonderful. She managed to tell us quite a bit about all of the areas visited. The winery and lunch were unbelievably good. The little side trip to Sienna was great and the stop in Pisa was fun. We paid the extra to climb the tower which we felt was worth it one of the must-do things in Italy after taking all the cheesy pictures. HIGHLY recommend this tour company. We did another full day tour in Rome with a different company and it didn't come close to comparing to Walkabout Tours.

Was better then expected. Beautiful scenery, covered three major sites and the tour guide was a plus. She spoke with us as a group as well as to individually, making the trip more personal. I would def recommend the one day sightseeing tour to anyone looking for a quality tour with value.

Fabulous day traveling through the Tuscan countryside with the local vendor 'Walkabout! The towns of Siena and San Giagnamo are incredible but participants need to be warned that the walking isn't just 'moderate' it involves a significant amount of uphill grades. The lunch at the vineyard was spectacular! The views are indescribable!! Food and wine offerings were generous versus the pitiful portions on the Cinque Terra tour, a different local vendor. Also, this vendor took us by a cute trolley ride from the parking lot in Pisa to the sights AND then offered us a trolley ride through the town of Pisa with commentary. We did the Pisa tour just 2 weeks earlier with a different local vendor and had to walk 15 minutes in extreme heat to/from the bus parking lot, only saw the area with the Duomo, Bapistry and Tower, but did get free admission to the Duomo, which we didn't with this group. Pay the admission and get the trolley ride!! Sandra was our guide and she was charming, intelligent, considerate...just terrific! This tour is a very long day, but the bus rides allowed us to relax between towns. Make sure your camera has LOTS of memory because you will take 100s of photos!!
