Ride through the picture-postcard Tuscan countryside on a small group bike tour from Florence. As you ride along on your comfortable bike, feel the cool breeze, breathe in the fresh air, and see Tuscany at its best!
Your full-day bike tour is led by a professional local guide, and tour numbers are limited to a maximum of 15 people. The leisurely tour follows a relaxed pace, with several stops along the way.

Leaving Florence, you'll travel by minivan to the Chianti area just outside the city. Pedaling along narrow shaded roads lined with old stone walls, you'll ride past romantic olive groves, vineyards, medieval castles, and hillside villa estates. When you reach your destination you'll be rewarded by breathtaking panoramic views of Florence and its surroundings.

You'll also visit 2 local wineries estate and see the vineyards and cellars, taste Chianti wine and learn about winemaking, plus taste local extra virgin olive oil. Discover the different approaches these two wineries have in wine production: from the application of modern techniques to the rediscovery of ancient gestures through a fully organic production.

The tour includes a traditional Italian lunch, including bruschetta, pasta and wine, to refresh you for your ride back to Florence. Join this small group bike tour for a magical day out in the beautiful countryside of Chianti.

My husband and I agree that this was the best tour on out three-week trip. The day started out rainy, so we weren't even sure the tour would happen, but the clouds cleared and it turned out to be a beautiful October day. Daniel, our guide, was wonderful and really knew a lot about Tuscan wine. This is not an easy bike ride. There are some killer hills and some pretty gnarly gravel roads, but it's not dangerous if you're smart and it's totally worth the effort. My husband and I are in our 50s and even with his very bad knee, we never had to resort to the sag wagon. The countryside is absolutely gorgeous and the wine tasting and lunch at the end were superb. We took wine home with us. Highly, highly recommend.

Guide Leo great. Great scenery and lunch. Beware the tour is strenuous- long uphill riding although no pressure on slowies to keep up
Much is on roads with cars and some bikes in less than perfect order.
