Excellent and really enjoyable. Knowledgeable tour guide. Had radios which meant we could hear clearly every word she spoke. Very interesting insight into Venice. We did this at the end of our stay but it would have been beneficial at the beginning as we would have been looking for the things she pointed out. Guide was enthusiastic and had an interesting way of speaking. Topped off by a gondola ride. We went in the evening, so it was lovely punting down the canals at night, peaceful and lovely to see Venice from this level. Would recommend this tour to anyone.

Our local guide was full of enthusiasm for his city. We got to see parts of the city that are not usually seen by tourists. The real Venice where the locals live. We were told some of the history of Venice and shown special features of how things were done in the early days. Our tour culminated with a gondola ride on both the Grand Canal and some smaller canals. As it was dark we were unsure what we were seeing but it was still a must do experience. It could have been made better if our Gondolier had given a commentary of where we were so we knew what we were passing. The only time he spoke was when he had a lengthy conversation in Italian with another gondolier who was beside us.

A great tour just as described. It was lovely to cruise throught the little back streets to see the beautiful houses and hidden gardens. Our guide was lovely and very informative.

We loved our Gondola ride! It is a must in Venice. We took the sunset tour and I was so happy we did. Venice looked so magical as the sun went down. I did not think it could be more amazing. We sat in the good seat right by the gondolier. We thought it would be the most comfortable, which it was. The problem was that all of our pictures have the heads of the other guests on the gondola. My recommendation would be to sit in the seats towards the front and exchange pictures for comfort. I know I will next time. I wish I was still in Venice. It is one of the most amazing cities. Our guide was very informative and spoke excellent english. We toured a lesser known area around the Academia bridge. Away from the crowds was a nice change. We never felt rushed yet we still learned and covered a great deal in 2 hours. The gondola ride was a bonus touring around the small canals for a little over half an hour. I highly recommend this tour.

Fantastic tour of the quieter areas of Venice away from the main square and crowds. The walking tour was in the south end of Venice in the Academia area. We happened to be there during a protest of the cruise ships and the spectacle was absolutely fascinating. Our tour guide did a great job of explaining some of the inner workings of the city. For instance, a small house with a garden might sell for 6 million euros. Many of the homeowners would sell a property for 3 million and move away and now only 55,000 residents live in Venice. The gondola ride was really fun although we did it in the dark. I highly recommend this tour.
