At your selected show time, head to Union Square for a show at the San Francisco Playhouse, a beautiful, intimate 200-seat venue housed on the second floor of Kensington Park Hotel. This gorgeous 1925 Gothic-style building revisits an era of elegance and historic San Francisco charm, and the stylish lobby showcases hand-painted ceilings and modern artwork and serves complimentary tea and sherry.

Established in 2003, the San Francisco Playhouse features multiple performances each year. The theater garnered 20 Bay Area Theatre Critic nominations in its first year alone, and is the winner of SF Weekly’s Best Theatre Award and the San Francisco Bay Guardian's Best Off-Broadway Theatre Award.

  • Seating is assigned by the theater's box office on the day of performance, and will always be top-price locations in the center Orchestra or first-row Mezzanine section
  • Will-call opens 1 hour before showtime
  • Durations vary from play to play but most run approximately 2 hours
  • Wheelchair accessible. Please advise in the Special Requirements field at time of booking for suitable seat assignments.

Ticket Collection:
When you reserve your ticket, you will receive access to your voucher documentation. Your tickets will be held at will-call for collection on the day of the performance, no earlier than one hour before performance time. Present your voucher, along with a photo ID at the theater box office on the day of the performance in exchange for your tickets and seating assignment.

it was fun and enjoyable more personal because it was in a smaller theatre, a little warm but was a better version than I had seen before nice people working there always had a smile and helpful, would do it again
