Arrive in the St-Emilion AOC (Appellation d'origine contrôlée), a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage-listed wine region. One of the principal red wine areas of the Bordeaux wine region, St-Emilion is known for its blended grape varieties, particularly merlot, cabernet franc and cabernet sauvignon.
Your first stop is a first classified growth château: Château Beau-Sejour Becot where you’ll take a tour of the cellar to learn about the winemaking process and enjoy a tasting of the château’s finest wines.
Next, head to Château Haut-Sarpe. Admire a beautiful view of the vineyards, visit the wine cellar, and taste the estate's elite Grand Cru wines before sitting down before sitting down to a lovely buffet lunch.
You’ll spend the afternoon exploring the village of St-Emilion itself, which dates back to the 8th century and is full of fascinating medieval history. Your guide will take you to the remarkable underground monuments including the fascinating underground church and the hermitage where used to live the monk Emilion. Then you will have some free time to discover the town’s wine shops, cafés and boutiques. Enjoy around 45 minutes of free time to explore the area on your own, take pictures, buy a souvenir to bring back home or just relax in this lovely village.
Return to Bordeaux around 6:15pm.

We had a marvelous day touring two wineries with a fantastic lunch and generous amounts of wine! We met some lovely people and loved the town of St. Emelion. It was so relaxing not worrying about having to drive or decide which winery to visit. The tour guides were great. I highly recommend this trip!
