Was a perfect way to see all five villages...by train, hike and boat. Our guide, Johnny made the day extra enjoyable.

We did the hike beginning of September, on one of the hottest days mid 30 degrees.
Our tour guide Johnny was the best. As soon as we set off in the coach, he had us in giggles with his charm and laugh. Down to earth Italian guy who made the 2 hour coach journey go by in minutes coming from someone who gets travel sick, I felt fine listening to Johnnys tips for the day ahead
Now for the hard parkthe hike. It is not for the extremely unfit. If you are unfit, you will still manage it as you can go at your own pace. Dont be scared of heights!! It is hard work with a lot of steps, you will sweat and think why have I done this in the heat of summer but your keep going as each town you visit is beautiful, facebook picture worthy views. Well worth all them steps.
As you do have lots of breaks, snacks and food to keep the energy levels up, the day was so much fun. The lunch we had salad, pesto salad was delicious. Just what we needed to refuel before more hiking.
Johnny recommends shops and tasty Italian treats in the towns and where is the best to go for a toilet stop lol. Also told us some Italian words and phrases that we made good use of for the rest of our Italian trip. He also provides maps and recommendations where to eat in Florence and Rome.
The hike was probably one of our best days out of the whole holiday, well worth the money.
If you are Johnnys boss reading this, he deserves a payrise, he really does keep you in giggles, I dont think we would of enjoyed the day as much if we had a different tour guide. 'Johnny boy says YO'
