This tour was the highlight of my Rome trip. The insights our guide, Francesca, shared and her knowledge of history combined with where to snap exactly the right picture really made this a perfect morning. Wear comfortable shoes, as you will be walking on ancient cobblestones and other uneven surfaces but TAKE THIS TOUR!

Definitely the way to see the Colosseum and Forum! The crowds were daunting but we did not have to stand in line and just met the guide at a designated spot. Be sure to allow plenty of time to get to the Colessum and find your tour. Our guide was wonderful--calm, patient, very knowledgeable and the tour was small enough that we could all stay with her. We did this tour on our first day day in Rome, and after this great introduction to the whole area, we went back to the sites around the Colesseum on our own a couple of times during the following days.

This was a great tour with a very engaged and informed guide. The tour took about 3 and a half hours and did require a good amount of stairs. Skip the line was absolutely needed at these stops. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who wants to experience the collusieum and forum!
