I went to the full-day sightseeing tour with 2 separate guides in the morning and afternoon . I enjoyed both parts and leaders were both knowledagble about the arts and tried to pass as much information as they can about historical place and art galleries . I enjoyed and it did worth to pay more money to skip the long queues and have a guide .

Morning part up to lunch was excellent. The second part despite an outstanding guide became too long. At the end of the tour you are left in the middle of no where and need to find your way back. The tour should ideally take you back to the point where you start-off. Another suggestion, water should be available in the buses.

This tour started with a bus ride the ancient town of Fiesole that overlooks Florence. It was a beautiful and interesting ride, but we never stopped at any spots to get out and take pictures other than through the bus window, most of the time moving. Also my son and I had difficulty identifying many of the sites our guide was describing. The next part of tour was an interesting walking tour in central Florence. The largest part of the tour was at the tour of the great art museum the Uffizi Gallery in a beautiful palace. Our guide was a long time British expat with a great knowledge and passion for the great works of art in this museum, and for me many of her stories were fascinating and she made the paintings very interesting. I think it was too much art for much of the tour group, but if you have an appreciation for great art, I think you should request our guide--think her name was Rosalind.

An excellent tour starting with the Piazza Michelangelo with a fantastic view over Florence. The tour of the Academia Gallery was very good giving us a great overview, but not too much, on Michelangelo and other artworks.
