Highly recommend this trip!
Why?!
1. Saves you a lot of time by skipping the line
2. Knowledgable guide is like a walking google. She gives you info you wouldn't hear from the recorded thing.
3. I'm not a fan of European arts and history but got very interested after this tour.
When to do this?
Would recommend this to be your first stop. So that you'll get to appreciate more the rest of Rome.
Amazing tour and experience! Alfrado was very kind to our family of three (we brought our 6 month old) and had a vast amount of information to share during the tour. He had a passion for Roma history and excitement that could be felt during the 3 hour tour. The weather was wet and rainy, but Alfrado did a good job reminding us to watch our step and put up umbrellas. I learned so much from Alfrado during this trip. You could easily wait two hours in line for a ticket, or completely skip the line with this tour. It was so worth it, because the line wrapped around the building wall. You will love the vitican, St. Peter's and the sistine chapel on your own, but you probably won't learn as much without a tour guide. I highly recommend. Thank you Alfrado!

Although we were not able to visit the Sistine Chapel this trip as it was closed due to the election of the new Pope, we certainly enjoyed the tour. This was our first time in Rome. The tour guide was so knowledgeable and the artwork absolutely magnificent.

This was a magnificent tour with an excellent guide (Dario). The Sistine Chapel was closed to the public, but there were other areas that were provided in exchange. Overall, a great tour!!!

We went on this tour the day after the Pope stepped down. Viator was great about communicating with us regarding the possible limitations of the tour because of the timing. But it worked out and we had an amazing tour. Our guide was fabulous. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the museum and the Vatican and St Peter's Basilica . She didn't rush us at all and had the answer for all our questions.

Our guide was professional and enthusiastic, due to the conclave didn't get to see the Sistine chapel, but nonetheless, this tour was great, would highly recommend!

I enjoyed this tour very much but it would have been a great deal better if Pope Benedict had not decided to resign. The Pope's resignation meant that we were unable to enjoy the Sistine Chapel and St Peter's Basilica. We did however get an extended tour of the Vatican Museum. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly.
