Very good trip. Were able to see plenty of sharks. Several whales too (end of FEB). We could actually hear the whales when underwater!Reviewed by: Daniel B, March 2014
Outstanding experience and fully exceeded expectations. At least a dozen sharks were present and within just a few feet (and often inches) of the cage. The staff and crew were also exceptional!Reviewed by: Jeff B, January 2014
This is *NOT* a shark feeding frenzy experience!
This is a calm, peaceful environment with beautiful animals, drawn to the boats engine noise. The crew are knowledgeable, with a good respect of the sharks and guest alike. They are not pushy to get you into the cage if you are uncomfortable. Also, if you choose to purchase a video of your experience (which I HIGHLY recommend doing!) they go above and beyond, to personalize it just for you!
All in all, it's now added to our yearly list of "MUST DO" things on Oahu.
Easily the best part of the trip! 10 foot Galapagos sharks within 2 feet of you. And there were lots of them. They were interested in us but never aggressive. It felt like lots of time in the cage. As an added bonus, we saw a couple of huge Humpback Whales doing full body breaches on the way out to the cage. A great day in the sun. 1 potential minor drawback- about 2 of 16 people on our boat got seasick. You may want to take some Dramamine if you tend to get queasy.Reviewed by: Robert C, December 2013
Oahu Shark Dive was by far my favorite event during a 9-day trip that included sky diving and horseback riding. The staff was knowledgable, accommodating, and all-around nice guys. The shark cage was an amazing experience. If I lived on Oahu, I'd go all the time.Reviewed by: Ryan S, November 2013
Fun tour all the way around. The tour guides were super friendly and did an excellent job of explaining everything along the way. Tour takes you out about 3 miles to the cage, and you get about 20-25 minutes in the cage. Water is crystal clear blue, and we saw probably 15-20 sharks on our dive. All were Galapagos sharks. Tour took a total 2 hours round-trip. No bathrooms on the boat, of course. They did have free water bottles on board.
The day we went in mid-October, the water was apparently a little rougher than normal. Didn't affect me in the slightest, but a couple of the women on our boat got sick, so be advised if you are prone to seasickness.
One of my favorite tours of all time!Reviewed by: Chuck K, November 2013
This is an absolute must do!! The crew are helpful and friendly, we drove ourselves and had no problem finding the dock. We had a go-pro but also bought the video for views from inside and outside the cage. There were at least 20 sharks all brought to the cage by the sound of the engines and a bottle splashing the water no chumming of any sort so no worries there!! If I make it back to the islands I'm doing this again!!Reviewed by: forfun, November 2013
This tour was one of my favourite things to do in Hawaii. The crew were excellent and swimming with the sharks was an amazing experience! We were lucky enough to have approx 30 sharks all swarming the cage. Definitely not scary at all, however remember to take sea sickness tablets as half the boat was sick in the large swell..... Highly recommend!Reviewed by: Jason O, October 2013
THIS WAS BY FAR ONE OF THE BEST EXPERIENCES OF THE WATER ACTIVITIES THE ISLAND HAD TO OFFER!!!Reviewed by: ABEL Y, October 2013
Amazing! Thought I would be nervous but the crew made us feel so comfortable. The sharks were like a beautiful symphony floating in the pacific.Reviewed by: Hollie K, October 2013
