This was an amazing experience, the only un-nerving bit is approaching the helicopter as the blades still rotate- but they're so high up even a tall man could jump and not come close. The seats were SO comfortable after a day walking. Dont worry about turbulence- It was a really blustery day when we went but the flight was smooth as silk and the pilot pointed out all of the sights. 15 minutes was enough for a decent look around the south and the west of Manhattan as well as ellis, and governors islands and around the statue of liberty. We went from the pier up the west maybe as far as lincoln square on the upper W side. A must do. its not that expensive and when will you ever do it again? The views were just spectacular. I'd love to do a 'sunset' flight and all over the island if they are available..

My first contact directly with Liberty Helicopters was when I rang to request a change of date. First impressions matter, and the impression I got was that the staff were friendly and accommodating. This was confirmed when we arrived for the tour and found everyone to be courteous, and very patient in explaining the procedures, answering questions and ensuring that we knew what to expect.
The flight itself was very good. Basically we flew over Liberty Island, up the Hudson on the NY side for 5 minutes then back down on the NJ side. We stayed over water throughout.
Overall, I'd rate it highly. It's expensive and short, but you know that when you book! As a first helicopter ride for our family, it was memorable.

Great experience and one of the many highlights of our trip , was a wonderful to see new york from up in the sky and would recommend this to anyone who is going as it really is a once a lifetime experience and the views are amazing.
