Phillip was great! We had signed up for the morning only but decided because we enjoyed it so much to extend to full day. Lots of reminders of WWII damage still visible.
This is a must see.
Phil is the best tour guide in London. Researched his subject well, listened to his grandparents and took note - his presentation was excellent. The only tour we did that we feel was the best value for money and time spent. Phil interacted so well with the people on this special bus on the day and kept us interested the whole time. Phil deserves the biggest Christmas bonus!!!! Malcolm and Rhonda Robinson from Perth, WA.

What a fabulous day! Not only did we get info on London in WW2 but also things of general interest. I am particularly interested in WW2 but my husband just came along for the ride. We both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I learned a lot mostly due to the incredible knowledge and enthusiasm of our bowler hatted pipe smoking guide but also the great driver. Poor guy! The authentic 1930's bus has no power steering or brakes or mod cons of any kind and we went down some very narrow lanes and tight bends. Phill, our guide played authentic music from the time and excerpts from speeches of the day. It really transported you to that time. This tour is not twee in any way - and it could have been! If you are at all interested in the history of London do this tour.

I thoroughly enjoyed the day, the guides knowledge was amazing and the trip was very entertaining, I also learnt a lot about WW 2 that I did not previous know. I would recomend this tour wholeheartedly.

The guide for this tour was excellent. He was dressed as a proper English gentleman complete with hat and umbrella. Also very knowledgable and able to respond to any questions. Also gave time to absorb what we were being shown or explained. The guide-book given was also good with clear pictures of how parts of the city were and as those same parts are now. Very good tour.

Absolutely FANTASTIC!! Phil is quite knowledgeable, like having a college course on the tour. He is entertaining with the 1933 authentic doubledecker bus, his dress (and two tone shoes!). The places we saw the Imperial museum, the war rooms, all was over the top for a tour! This is quite a treat and how blessed they are to have this young man and his passion for WWII

This was an excellent tour. I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting London. Our guide was engaging and very informative. No one should miss the Imperial War Museum. Our one regret was not doing the whole day, but we had another engagement. If we ever go back to London, I would certainly take this tour again.

This is an amazing tour! The restored vintage bus is beautiful, and even has advertisements from the time period. The overall tour experience is very special. In addition to the commentary from the guide, there is also music from the period as well as recorded speeches. The booklet of wartime photos is also really useful, and the guide spends a lot of time comparing the photos with the scenes that you see today. It is hard to imagine what London was like during the wartime, but this adds a really special dimension to any trip to London, and really takes you back in time.

The guide was excellent showing us the city but the inside of the museum had to seen ourselves. This is not a guided tour of the imperial war museum but an excellent guided tour of the city. Highly recommended though.
