Absolutely terrific tour if you are a Tolkien LOTR enthusiast.Great guide interesting sites and good value....highly recommended.Even the tea break was done with style and qualityReviewed by: John A. G, March 2011
Our tour guide was GREAT! He was really into the film, the locations, the camera tricks, information galore! Our 4 hour tour lasted 5.5 hours because he was so excited which we didn't mind at all. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name but he is married to a Japanese woman.Reviewed by: Daniel K, February 2011
We had an awesome tour! Our guide shared his love of the movie, the town of Wellington, and had us do all kinds of fun stuff while we experienced the different locations. Thanks Randal!Reviewed by: David H, November 2010
A great trip!Reviewed by: Joern B, Germany, April 2010
The guide from Wellington Rover Tours was excellent! She was enthusiastic, engaging and very informative. Her knowledge of the subject was amazing! Wellington Rover Tours were also very helpful as we were waiting to be picked up for the tour at the wrong location. After contacting WRT to say that we were waiting for them, they immediately made arrangements to pick us up from this location. We were very impressed with their service.Reviewed by: Ray L, Australia, March 2010
Excellent value and a fun filled tour of a beautiful place.Reviewed by: Adrian H, Australia, December 2009
I had a fantastic time on our tour. I believe our tour's name was Ronald and he was great. The only bad part was the weather and it was raining out. Aside from that we loved it.Reviewed by: Gloria C, Canada, December 2009
We had a fantastic time on the tour.
Our guide Rennga (?spelling) was entertaining and very knowledgeable.
It was so interesting to see how creatively Peter Jackson and his team used Wellington and its surrounding countryside to make Lord of the Rings .
Well done!! Thank you Dianne and Paul
Great guide, and lots of funny stories about the moviesReviewed by: Marie Pierre G, February 2013
A lot of fun. Unfortunately you don't get to see any sets from the movies since they were destroyed, but the tour guide was great. She was fun, knowledgable and really made it a great day.Reviewed by: Maia S, October 2012
