Nick was a great guide through the day with his wit and knowledge. Beautiful views, great vineyards, and fab service.

we were extremely disappointed that we could not go on the balloon tour - the weather did not cooperate. however, the part of the tour that we experienced was fabulous! the guide was top-notch. lunch was served in a fantastic location, and the tour of the Chandon, which was our last stop, was just terrific. i recommed this to all who visit the area.

We enjoyed the trip to the wineries, the guide was a lot of fun. Only setback: the balloon flight was cancelled due to weather.

The balloon ride was very well piloted, gave us great views of the Yarra Valley and wineries and played out very well. The pick-up arrangements were not certain until the evening just before the balloon ride. Clearly the organisers, and the recorded message on the contact phone number, expected us to be either a resident of the Melbourne area or staying in a CBD hotel. We were staying somewhere else and it was only when the driver of the pick-up van called us on his mobile the evening before the ride, that I was at all confident that we would connect with the balloon in the early hours of the following morning. The organisers should also specify a clock time on their information, instead of specifying the pick-up time by an interval before sunrise.

The staff were FANTASTIC and the balloon ride was wonderful, as was our wine tour leader. That said, we visited the same winery twice once for breakfast with a tasting then and then AGAIN for lunch with another tasting at the same place. As we had paid for a full 4 stop wine tasting, going back to the place we had already eaten and tasted was a bit of a bummer. Also, the tours did not know, initially, that we were on both trips... we had to press people to connect us between the tours and even then one of the balloon operators had to drive us in his personal car to the wine tour starting place. A great day but another vineyard and lunch spot rather than doubling up would have been much better. Finally, I'd like to reiterate that the staff were fantastic. Kudos to them.
