One of the greatest tours I've ever experienced. If you are worried about the safety - don't. Rome might be hectic but the drivers are usually attentive and the tour guide is very professional. The best thing to do is to take this tour at the beginning of your trip to Rome to have a nice and clear idea about the eternal city.

Had a wonderful time on this scenic tour of Rome. The hills were a little challenging, especially with the temperatures over 100 F, but we had a blast and the views were spectacular. I highly recommend this tour if you are comfortable climbing hills and riding with street traffic. Our guide was top notch.

This is the only way to explore Rome. Very experienced tour guide and you get to go places for some unforgettable photos.

The bike tour was a great way to see Rome in a few hours. We were able to stop at a number of areas for photos and a closer view of some structures as well as see a lovely overview of the entire city! Our guide was very helpful and gave us some inside tips and interesting facts as well. AND- my feet didn't hurt at the end of the day (which they would had I walked around the entire day)

A brilliant day out. An excellent way to see the city in half a day and work some pizza! Not for an inexperienced cyclist, however was confident and experienced and so wel always felt safe!

The tour was fabulous regarding the amount of sights that you see and the information the guide provides. It was one of my husband's favorite activities. The main thing I had trouble with was all the traffic you had to go through (cars, other bikes, tourists, motorcycles). I felt it was dangerous at times, but the tour guide does make sure everyone makes it across the street and keeps everyone together. It is a little tiring for someone who hasn't been on a bike in awhile (like me), and our tour ended up being 5hrs. I also had trouble with getting up some of the hills.

Pretty comprehensive bike tour. Covered all the main places and good info from the guide. The route was interesting and safe enough that my 11yr son managed it (with SOME heart palpitations here and there).
You can walk Rome, but this was nice change and covered some places a little further away e.g. views over the city.
Some steepish hills, but you'll be right.

It is a very healthy, green, and quick way to visit all the top places and buildings in Rome. In around 4 hours you would have got good pictures of all main views of Rome, a general historical knowledge of each place, even some anecdoctes. In addition, you will enjoy biking, and skipping trafic jams because you will use pedestrian and narrow streets arriving in 5' from a view to next building, not polluting and not wasting time. Raccomended if you wish a general view before deciding which interiour buildings to visit. The hills are not hard climbing at all. Even a child could do it. You do not need to be a professional or very trained. Some little breaks if you need them.
I was really lucky, very sunny and not cold day and a November day (not other joined tourists doing the same tour): same price for a private bicycle tour.

Not for the inexperienced rider but a great afternoon. We (unknowingly) picked the hottest day of the week to do this tour and were lucky enough to have the tour guide to ourselves. One of us wasn't overly confident riding a bike, especially on the road next to cars, so our guide Emanuele offered to take us on a walking tour instead and we can't thank him enough! The places he took us to and the history he gave us along the way was fantastic. He also told us the best times to visit different places and gave us a map highlighting all the 'must-sees' we couldn't cover on our tour. Can only imagine how great the tour must be cycling to some beautiful views!
