This was a great trip so well organized. We had to take a bus they picked us up at our hotel! to a boat then another bus and another boat. ALL went so smoothly, the drivers were well informed and friendly the trip was absolutely beautiful at all points. The boat on the Doubtful Sound was super nice good tour guide the captain even stopped the boat for us to see the amazing dolphins. For anyone considering this trip - it's well worth the investment.

Just picturesque. The surroundings are just beautiful. The boat is spacious and plenty of viewing opportunities on the decks.
When the drizzle came through, I went inside was was very excited to find all walls were glass so didn't miss one second of the view.

Having booked this trip 6 months previously, we hoped for good weather as December 2015 in NZ had been rather disappointing. Come the day, the weather was clear and sunny - just what was wanted. We were picked up at our motel and the coach ride to Manapouri was quite short. Then on to the catamaran to speed across Lake Manapouri to West Arm and this was followed by another short coach journey over the Wilmot Pass Road to Doubtful. The coach driver was a 'fountain of knowledge' and had a great sense of humour. We arrived at Deep Cove and the stunning view of Doubtful Sound - awesome!!
Our 3 hour cruise along Doubtful Sound was memorable for the spectacular scenery, vegetation, tree falls, waterfalls, seals, jumping dolphins and the stillness of Crooked Arm, when the Catamaran's engines were turned off and the enthusiastic tourists on board fell silent to appreciate the beauty of this natural wonder. Magnificent.
Throughout the cruise there was an informative, but not intrusive commentary. The Catamaran's staff ensured all tourists were safe and free refreshments were provided throughout the journey. The coach driver on our return journey made all the visitors laugh by telling us that Doubtful Sound was wet on 2 out of every 3 days each year, and with the last 4 days being completely dry, the area was officially in drought!!
I would thoroughly recommend this excursion, suitable for all ages and surely a 'wonderous adventure into a remote area of New Zealand'.

Beautiful day so we were very lucky. Nice boat and excellent commentary on both lakes/sounds. Saw seals and penguins and were given enough time and opportunity to take photos and view the wildlife and scenery. One of the most memorable days of our NZ trip.

Wonderful trip, Skipper Dave Allen and all the crew were fantastic.
The scenery is unbelievable and the interaction with all on board was typically Kiwi.
Will certainly recommend this company to all.

Doubtful Sound is so beautiful, the only thing that spoilt it a little was the weather but that's luck of the draw as it rains there 2 out 3 days. The journey was very comfortable. A long day but worth every minute.
