It was perfect in every sense of the word. Our guide, (Auntie) Sharon Simoes was very, very knowledgable and informative of the area. And humorous as well. It was a great day. Whatever Ms. Simones is paid (excluding tips) it can't possibly be enough. She deserves a raise!!Reviewed by: David H, February 2014
Pretty good tour, we went to a lot of different places which I was suprised to go too. The driver was awesome too. Thought I would suggest that the driver be more animated to share his culture with the guest. I'm a native Hawaiian and I used to be a tour driver and I would just be excited to do my tours telling of all the great Hawaiian history within the islands. I would have told the people that they are on the Umi side of the island and Umi was a great Native Hawaiian chief still revered by Native Hawaiians. I would tell them that the Kona and Kohala side is refered too as the Keawe side. Keawe was a chief who is still revered by Native Hawaiians until today. I was happy and satisfied with this tour.Reviewed by: Lance L, January 2014
Great tour. Our guide was very informative about the volcano and
Hawaiian life. The company was also very helpful in recovering our camera that we left on the bus. I would highly recommend doing this tour, the day went by really fast because of all the different stops that we made.
To see a live volcano up close is awe-inspiring and the guide was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. The museum and the lava tube are the highlights.Reviewed by: lauren, South Africa, January 2013

Well what a fantastic day. We were lucky enough for our hotel in Kona to put us on the same tour without having to self drive to Hilo. thank God, our driver Cousin Komo James was just full of information. Even the plants on the side of the road. We travelled the whole island and he did not stop. We enjoyed this tour so much, we learnt so much. this was our second time to the Volcano. The first time as newly weds we drive our selves, but having James driving the bus, we went to places we missed the first time and just his knowledge about the island is amazing and you should not miss this tour. If you go to the Big Island, this is the tour to do.Reviewed by: Susy C, Australia, June 2010
We had a great time on the Big Island Volcano tour. We were visiting Hawaii on our honeymoon and island hopped to the Big Island for the day. This tour was a great way to see the Big Island and some of it's higlights in a short period of time. We had a fabulous tour guide. She was funny and very educated on the island. We would highly recommend this tour!Reviewed by: Brian S, USA, October 2009
