Hi, I am the author of "Moments in Time-a collection of 30 short stories"". I have based many of my 30 stories on overseas experiences. I have travelled a lot. The Great Wall trip is an experience worthy of another story- maybe my next book due to come out in September. It is certainly one of the wonders of the world -a must to see. I thought Viator provided extremely good value for money and the tour guide was most knowledgeable. The trip included transport (driver), tour guide, and a meal. This section of the wall is steep, interesting and currently not a great number of tourists to spoil one's exploration. I recommend this tour.

Enjoyed this day trip out of Beijing. The great wall at Mutianyu is very impressive and our guide, Michael Jingyu, was very good.
Be aware that this trip includes stop at Tourist shops but was still very interesting.
This tour was the best of the tours we did on our China trip. Highly recommended.
We were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour, so my husband and I got our own tour guide, driver, and photographer in Thomas. He was punctual, very knowledgable, very accommodating, and spoke excellent English. I've been to the Badaling side before, and Mutianyu is really better.

Interesting and beautiful with a dusting of snow on the wall, and sunshine from blue skies.

The guide that day, Thomas was wonderful. We had 2 hours at the wall and this section is a better part to visit than the Badaling section. I really enjoyed the day.

This was one of the most memorable days, Mr Thomas meet us at 7.30 which got us to the wall before the tourists arrived, infact non of the vendours had set up. We had the wall to ourselves so managed some great pictures, especially with blue sky's, sun and no wind. The only part of the trip taht was disapointing was that I was unable to go down on the toboggan, no one over 60 can do it rather disapointing

Amazing, this tour was just amazing. We werenot rushed at all at the Walla nd had plenty of time to explore. Shopping stops included were not very long nor was there any high pressure to buy something. The lunch was very good and the tea ceremony interesting. Our tour guide Cherry was great

Wow, what a great tour! The guide, Zoe, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Her English was perfect and she really knew about the history of China. I'd highly recommend seeing the Great Wall at Mutianyu because it's less crowded there!
