Good Dinner and atmosphere. Great way to enjoy London by night!Reviewed by: crystel s, October 2013
I was very disappointed with the dinner cruise. Weather had been really bad the night before in London, meaning the Thames was incredibly choppy which isn't good for someone who gets sea sick. I think there should be an option to cancel on the day of when weather is abnormally bad leading up to the cruise. In addition, when I booked the cruise I only had two options for the type of upgrades to dinner when there were actually more. We purchased the 4 course meal, but they had a 5 course meal that included an after dinner cordial. We were seated away from a window even though there were plenty of window seats unoccupied. Our server was incredible, but the woman who appeared to be in charge was rude and not very accommodating. While eating dinner, which was decent but not great for the price, a light fixture fell and barely missed my head. The woman came over to check that nothing was broken, but didn't seem that concerned about the incident. She also had a problem when I asked for the sparkling wine that didn't have cassis in it, in fact she refused to switch them out because our apparently miniscule dinner package didn't include the better sparkling wine. Our server was much more willing to oblige my request. The live music was wonderful, and the views at night were gorgeous. I had to wait for people to leave their tables to get good pictures though. Also, since our package was so low brow and didn't include the after dinner cordial, I think they should be available to order for an additional charge. I had gone back and forth about cancelling the cruise within the 72 hours and wish I had. While the night ended better than it started, I do not feel we got our money's worth. I would only recommend this if you are able to get the highest package and request a window table. Had I known, I would have done both. Also, don't order cod if it's on the menu, it was under seasoned and over cooked, and the asparagus and cheddar tart tasted like a frozen dish.Reviewed by: Christopher J, October 2013
