Although we were more excited about this tour than any other, I have to admit our experience was ruined by the extremely rude bus driver. We waited at the Grovesnor Hotel for 20 minutes and the bus never showed up. We decided to run (4 blocks) to the bus station and barely caught the bus before it took off. The bus driver was extremely rude to us when we checked in and said "I have been waiting for you for 15 minutes". Well, had he picked us up at our hotel, he wouldn't have had to wait! After we got on the bus, he did not make any announcements welcoming us to the tour, telling us how long the ride would be, or giving us any information about the day. When we arrived, he did not pass out our admissino tickets and we had to ask HIM how we were supposed to get in. He didn't tell us how long we had to stay, we had to ask HIM when we should return to the bus. When we got back on to go home, he decided to take an alternate route back and we ended up sitting in traffic for over 4 hours. He never once explained what was going on or apologizing for the delays. Nevertheless, Stonehenge is NOT to be missed and is something everyone should make time for.

We hoped that we would get a bus driver who liked to talk, sort of like some others. Ours wasn't personable, was very rude, and was on a power trip. We rode the 2.5 hrs to Stonehenge in silence and came back the same way. The attraction was great, however, and an experience we will remember.
