very good trip and knowledgeable driver

This trip was really good, except that it is far too long, both in kilometres and hours, for 1 driver to conduct safely. We had a further safety issue when the airconditioning died at Hippo's Yawn, and the resulting fogging of the inside of the coach, including the windscreen, cause many of us to be anxious about our safety. The humid conditions in the non-ventilated coach caused the driver some distress, and at one stage he appeared to be close to dozing off. As we were sitting in the front seat, we then kept talking to him - in itself a safety concern - to ensure he didn't go to sleep. Wave Rock itself was spectacular, well explained, and some of the smaller towns we passed through, particularly York, were amazing. The lunch provided was excellent, as was the lunch stop. We were a little disappointed in the wildflowers, but perhaps it was too early in the season. The driver's commentary was really interesting, most informative and entertaining. The afternoon tea stop was unique and delicious. All in all a great day, but safety issues should be addressed with some urgency. We were most relieved to get back to our drop off point, but also very tired.

worth doing - a pleasant trip without any hitches

It is a very long (and expensive) day and we were about 2 weeks too late for the wildflowers! Wave Rock is worth seeing but ....... Don't know whether I would have done it had I realised just how long we would be sitting on a bus.

Loved the trip, very interesting and good information from the driver. Not enough time to see York or to get anything to eat, we had a take out drink with just enough time to walk up the main street. The lunch food was very good but was cleared away too quickly, again not enough time. The afternoon tea was very good and all the places visited were excellent. It was a very enjoyable trip but would have liked more time in York and possibly less opportunities to view the Olgas from different vantage points.
