Our tour was excellent. We picked up a tour guide in Naples and he was excellent and knowledgeable especially in Pompeii. The only negative was that we breezed through Naples with only a quick photo stop. But... if you are mostly there to see Pompeii, the tour was great.Reviewed by: martha k, May 2013
Since I was a little boy and read about Pompeii I have dreamt of going there. Have been in Italy many different times and locations, but this was the first time we made it to Pompeii. It was a very special trip bringing our children and then my mom and dad along a group of 6 people. My dad has been there already back in the late Fifties and could add to the stories that our competent guide were telling. Whereas Pompeii was fantastic and a "must do" thing, the trip to Napoli and driving through Napoli was unnecessary and pretty much waste of time. It was also sad to see how Napoli has let the city go with more trash to go around than any other place in the world we have ever been. So good advice Viator is to skip the Naples bit and focus on Pompeii and maybe other ancient stuff in that area. Hans, DenmarkReviewed by: Hans W, Denmark, April 2013
I agree with previous reviews that the trip could of done without the trip to Naples. But lunch was fantastic and the guided tour was long enough for our guide to show us all the best features without dragging on. Be prepared for a VERY long day thoughReviewed by: Jessica F, April 2013
The guide that came on board at Naples did not speak great English and was often difficult to understand. Also, during his tour of Pompeii he seemed to be very keen to point out the brothels of the town. I did not appreciate it and thought it was inappropriate as there were younger girls in the group.Reviewed by: Kathryn J, April 2013
Pompeii needs more than 2 hours, although our guide was knowledgeable. Couild definitely do without the cameo factory. If I had to do it again I would take the independent bus trip and use an audio guide.Reviewed by: Joy M, April 2013
