5 star rating: Highly Recommended

We absolutely LOVED this tour. It was incredibly informative. Our tour guide George was so knowledgeable and let us spend plenty of time at the various sites after talking to us about them and taking us through the many spots that were especially notable. Not only did he talk about the history of Greece, he informed us about the trees, crops, and flowers of the country that we saw. He answered all of our questions. The country of Greece is so beautiful! On this tour we were able to see many parts of Greece while riding in a comfortable bus. We had plenty of stops to stretch our legs and take pictures. This was definitely worth our time!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, what a memorable experience ... one of the highlights of our trip to Greece! Irene was one of the best tour guides we have ever had ... so knowledgable and friendly. Definitely go with her recommendations for food, especially in Kalambaka. The bus ride was comfortable and the hotels were nice too. Only wish we had more time in Nafplion. Also wish they didn't shorten the trip so it excludes Sparta, but otherwise I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Greece.

I think seeing less places and staying longer would have been better !

Guide excellent, tour good, accomodation good, bus most unsatisfactory. Would not recommend tour due to cramped seating on bus.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

I thought that the structure and itinerary of the tour was quite good, I just didn't enjoy this tour guide from G.O. Tours either. Lia is a 60 or 70 something year old who ruled the bus with an iron fist. She didn't smile often and behaved much like a strict headmistress telling or sometimes yelling at us to be quiet. I haven't felt like a school girl for a long time, but she certainly made us feel that way. I think the main problem was that because of her age she got tired quickly through out the long day and by the afternoon she'd be inevitably grumpy. In the morning it wasn't so bad, she just didn't smile a lot and all the information she gave us was pretty cut and dry.

Her brusque manner might just be because of the generational gap but I'd have hoped for a physically fitter guide with a younger mentality who would have been more fun and enthusiastic. Also she seemed a bit prejudiced as well, often referring to the Asians on the tour as all being Chinese and calling the african american girl in our group: a "Negro". It might have been partly from her being of an entirely different generation and a slight language barrier? However I'd expect for a tour guide's english to be current enough to know better.

Overall the places we went to see were all stunning and the tour was organized quite well. On the third day more people joined us increasing us from 15 to 30 something, making it a lot less personal.

I do wish however that I had known before hand that in a lot of Museums in Greece pictures aren't allowed. Or if the are allowed a live person may not be in the photo with an antiquity. Apparently this is disrespectful if a live person were next to an antiquity. This all seemed quite bizarre but throughout the trip we weren't allowed to take a lot of photos (with or without flash) and tripods are banned from all historical sights!

Over all a Yes, but wish I had a different guide instead of Lia where it was her first time guiding with Chat-GO Tours.
