This was a terrific way to spend the day. Our guide, Rosa, was wonderfully informative. Girona is a pretty city with a lovely "old" area. The Dali museum is a visual delight. Figueres is very quaint and the only thing I would have liked would have been another hour to wander the streets there.

We had a great day. The dual destinations of Gironna and Figueres was very good. We had plenty of time to wander with our excellent guide, but also time to browse, shop a little and to have lunch in the lovely town of Gironna.
The Dali Museum was fabulous - such fun, and you learn so much about this extraordinary artist. I would recommend this tour highly. Our guide was informed, friendly and did not overload us with detailed facts - he judged our interest level in both art, history and Spanish life in general.

We enjoyed the tour of Girona very much, and also the Dali Museum in Figures. We were given enough free time in both places. My wife had some problems walking in Girona, and our guide waited for us to catch up before speaking to the group.
The one critism was the way the time spent at the office was UNorganized. We were picked up at our hotel and brought to the office. We were never told who to see for the tickets, just left to fend for ourselves. I finally figured out who to buy the tickets from when there was two minutes left to board the bus. Before we got to the office somone should have told us which couter to go to to buy the tickets.
Other than that, we had a very nice time.
I highly recommend the second half (Dali Museum) of this tour to all. Our guide provided a good orientation to Dali's works and plenty of time to explore Dali's works on our own. The first half of the tour consisted of an almost 2 hour drive to medieval town of Girona and 1 hour tour of the city. After visiting Seville, Granada, Cordoba and Toledo, Girona was somewhat lackluster. It has excellent shopping but lacks the cultural and architectural appeal of these other cities. Having said this, I think it only fair to say that the local guide in Girona was enthusiast and knowledgeable of the history of his city.
