Our first time taking a city tour. It was quite enjoyable. Our tour guides were knowledgeable.

Good value. Harbour Tour was worthwhile. Bus Tours ranged from outstanding to awful. Quality of the bus tour depends on how good/knowledgeable your tour guide is. Our Harlem tour guide was outstanding i could have listened to her all day, whereas unfortunately, our Night tour guide was simply awful.

On 5/23, at City Sights Hq. the four of us took the VIP Pass to have access to Gray Line and Big Pink Buses too. We started out with City S. in the Downtown Loop; then we took the Brooklyn Loop on the same Co.; the first part of it was Ok; then it started to rain and we were given raincoats; the rain was so heavy and dense that we tried the covered lower deck; as only two seating places were available, the other two were not allowed being standing; back in upper deck, we approached Manhattan Bridge under a severe deluge; I openly asked the tour guide to pull over and park for a time until it cleared up: the guide refused; crossing the bridge in the heavy rain was a nightmare. Back in Manhattan, we took a comfortable Gray Line Bus, in the lower deck; people were allowed standing. Summing up: Gray Line: kudos; City Sights: they have room for improvement; not a good job.

In nice weather this tour would be fine, but it was raining all day when we had our tickets and eventhough it is a double decker bus only the top is available. No bottom part of the bus for seating and no cover for the top when its raining so it made our time miserable! Also, this tour (blue bus) has much shorter running hours through the day than the other buses. You can upgrade the tour once you get there to use the red and pink buses, but it is an additional $25 per person!!
