This Tour was the perfect tour to get the information you needed and seeing the sights directly without wasting any time waiting in line or figuring out what you're looking at. We met up with the first guide in Paris outside of train station at Musee d'Orsay and she guided us all the way to Versailles where we met our second tour guide. She was very informative and patient. She gave us ample time to view sights and take pictures as well as giving us insightful information about the different areas of the garden and the palace itself. If there was one thing worth visiting while you're in Paris, I recommend taking this tour. The gardens are magnificent and breathtaking and the Hall of Mirrors was absolutely beautiful in all its sunlit grandeur. While there could have been more time spent exploring the gardens, the entire tour lasted about 3 hours and was the perfect amount of time to take in Versailles. Once the tour completed within the palace walls, you were free to explore the palace on your own or checkout the area. There are lots to see and do and it was absolutely great.Reviewed by: Christopher C, November 2013

It was a nice tour bec our guide was really smart and knows her history. I just got a little bored in the end bec I'm not really the history type of person and just likes to take pics. going back to the city is quiet challenging bec u will be on your own, older people might get lostReviewed by: mychuby, November 2013
The tour itself was great. Once we actually arrived at the palace and gardens/fountains, we enjoyed the tour very much, and our guide was quite knowledgeable. However, getting to the starting point was a problem. Apparently the train which was usually used was not able to be used (which Viator knew ahead of time due to the e-mails I was sent stating we needed to catch an earlier train,) and the alternative train stop involved a long walk. From the time we met the group in front of the Museum D'Orsay until we arrived at the palace was more than 2 hours, more than half of which was walking, sometimes over cobblestones, uphill. The other couple in our group of 4 had difficulty walking that far; had they known about the walk in advance they might have declined to go. At least one other party in our tour group was similarly affected and was quite irate about the wasted time and the burden which walking caused one of his party members, who had to use a wheel chair once we arrived. It would have been appropriate for Viator to meet train with vans or a bus and transport the group to the entry of the palace. I am not asking for any compensation, but I will think twice before using your services again.Reviewed by: Joan H, November 2013
It was sad to let know of anybody who wanted to get this tour is regretting. After the train ride to Versailles, we have to walk at least 2 miles to get to the site. The guide don't care if you can catch up with the group. It's ashame that this tour cannot provide a bus knowing that after the long walk you'll have to start a long walk again for both the garden and palace tour. I definitely will not recommend this tour.Reviewed by: Felicitas A, November 2013
