Unbelievable. Very organized and we had so much fun. Guides were very good as wellReviewed by: Deanna S, January 2014
Enjoyed this tour greatly. The Bullet Train is amazing, so fast, so quiet.
Kyoto and Nara are so different from Tennessee. The tour guides did a wonderful job.
Knew their history and answered questions well.
The hotel was better than expected. Well worth the money to go with the first class option.
The tour was very well organized. In particular, I appreciate the hotel pick-up and the taxi drop off service. One of the tour guides in Kyoto was very interesting and informative; his sense of humor kept the guests laughing throughout the day. The hotel in Kyoto was situated right across from the train station, but the quality was much better than a normal train station hotel; it was worth the 4-star rating. The sightseeing visits to the shogun palace, Shinto shrines and Buddhist temples were all enjoyable. Meals were good. Overall, this was a great tour.Reviewed by: venky, March 2014
Great trip, well planned and perfectly executed. Excellent guides, although the lady on the second day was very difficult to understand. She was very knowledgeable, but her English left a little to be desired.Reviewed by: Christopher P, January 2014
This is really a 3.5 star. The tour takes you to a lot of places and is very well organized. If you are in hurry, you can't beat it. That is its problem too.......the whole thing is a blur and always in a hurry. On our first day, we couldn't even find out tour guide after we got off the bus at one spot. She had already moved on, she was in such a hurry. You have little, if any, free time at most of the locations (although some you do).
Our first guide was too soft spoken and was unclear but the second day guide was great. Very well spoken and funny. The lunches were fair to good as well as the lodging.
Bottom line: A good tour but super busy. Nothing great and nothing extraordinary but you hit all the good spots. Clearly a professional organization.Reviewed by: Mark F, January 2014
