This was an amazing location and steeped in history. Our guide provided great information and timing for special events. Amazing views! Would have enjoyed more time at Montserrat to enjoy the museum, cable cars, etc.Reviewed by: Lori H, March 2014
We were fortunate enough to go on a lovely sunny warm day in February, when there were no crowds. We had an excellent guide and really enjoyed the cog railway. The boys choir at 1o'clock was excellent.
i would recommend this tour.

Worth doing.Reviewed by: Elizabeth C, February 2014
Montserrat was lovely, and the guide was pleasant and well informed. However, I felt like the time spent at Montserrat was insufficient. We basically were told we had time to do one or two of the many things offered there. I rushed to get as much crammed into the short amount of time we spent at the Basilica and surrounding area, and was practically sprinting to get back to the meeting point by the time she indicated, but then we stayed for an extra 25 minutes because some other people were late. I found that frustrating, and if we didn't HAVE to leave when she said we did, I wish we would have been informed of that so I could have used the restroom, purchased souvenirs, or done any number of the other things I had planned for Montserrat before I was told about the lack of time we'd actually be spending there. Having said that, I would recommend this tour if you want to see Montserrat, but don't wish to spend more than a couple hours there -- or don't feel comfortable taking the train (which, in my opinion, is probably a better option). Also, be warned that once you get on site, the guide basically gives you a very brief overview of the site and then lets you loose. So if you intend to go hiking or anything like that, you're going to have to rely on the information desk for more detailed instructions than the guide provides.Reviewed by: Travis S, February 2014
