It is OK once it is figured out. There are 4 different hop on companies in Lisbon...this is for the Yellow Bus...who also owns the local buses and trolleys. The other 3 are picked up at Marque Pombol; Yellow Bus is at Rossio. Once you get a hang of the system...it is great...goes everywhere all the time. Your 48 hour pass also allows you free access to all city buses, trams and trolleys.

This is the best way to see Lisbon!!! I love Hop on Hop off tours and this one is great! It gives you an over view of the city and then you can decide where to spend your time. I recommend riding it all around the city first, making notes where you want to get off. Then after completing a full ride around the city get back on the bus and have it take you to the stops you want to get off and spend time in. Great use of time and great way to get around the city. Make sure you go to a Fado show in Lisbon!!! Obrigado (thank you) for reading :)

We had 2 days on the yellow open top bus and it was a very good way to see the city and get our bearings. The ticket also included the old trams which went up the steep, winding and very narrow streets and the Junta lift where you could get out at the top and walk over to have a look round before going down again, There were queues for the lift but they weren't too bad. The only bus we didn't use was the mini bus as on the day we were going to use it the weather was so bad with heavy rain that we would not have been able to see anything. Not the bus tour's fault but the Lisbon weather! We use the open top bus every city we go to as it saves a bit of leg work when you are slightly getting on in years and helps to give a good feel of a city without wandering aimlessly. Although we thought we could get on at any stop, at first you have to go to the office to exchange your voucher for the tickets.

The four routes were very good. We particularly enjoyed the Tram and Belem routes. We found that the headphone connection to some plugs was loose. There was also some reticence on behalf of the first bus driver to exchange your voucher for the ticket. Some guidance on your documentation as to where and how this should have been done, would have been welcomed.Nevertheless we found the commentaries to be good.

Good value for money. A bit of duplication on some of the routes.
