Experience Vancouver's beautiful surroundings on this 5- or 6-hour guided North Shore tour. After crossing Vancouver Harbor via the landmark Lions' Gate Bridge, you'll cross the Capilano Suspension Bridge -- the world's longest suspension footbridge -- and take a ride on the Grouse Mountain Skyride. You'll also get up-close views of grizzly bears at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife!

Highlights

  • All taxes, fuel surcharges and service fees included
  • Free hotel pickup and drop-off included
  • Enjoy a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city
  • Exclusive after-hours access

Your Vancouver North Shore day trip starts with pickup from your Vancouver hotel and a drive over the Lion’s Gate Bridge, a 5,890-foot (1,823-meter) suspension bridge that offers unparalleled views of Vancouver Harbor, English Bay and beyond.

Once you get across the North Shore, continue on a short drive up the mountain to the Capilano Fish Hatchery (11am departure only). Learn about the life cycle of salmon from your guide and, depending on the season (July - August), watch them as they leap their way upriver!

Next, head to the Capilano Suspension Bridge, where you'll meander among the towering trees of the surrounding temperate rainforest and learn the traditions of the indigenous First Nations’ people. Then, walk across the 446-foot (136-meter) bridge to the other side of the river, where you can climb to the canopy and walk through the Treetops Adventure walkway high above the canyon and river below.

For those seeking a more thrilling experience, try the Cliffwalk, the newest attraction at the bridge. This adrenaline-pumping journey will take you through the rainforest on a series of suspended walkways jutting out from the granite cliff face to unexplored territories of the park!

At the Grouse Mountain Skyride, hop on the tram and travel to a 3,937-foot (1,200-meter) viewpoint above the city and enjoy nature’s spectacular view. In the summertime, amble along the mountaintop meadows and witness the Logging Sports show. On a clear day, you can see Mt Baker and Vancouver Island off British Columbia’s coast. You can also get up-close views of grizzly bears at the Refuge for Endangered Wildlife!

After your North Shore experience, relax on the drive back to your Vancouver hotel.

I had done this tour in 2001 and loved it so much I came back, this time with a different travelling companion. There have been a lot of improvements since then. It was great to be picked up and dropped off at the hotel and our guide was so knowledgeable.
This has nothing to do with this tour but another activity which we happened upon, not having seen it advertised was "Fly over Canada" at Canada Place. This cost around $20 and was the best thing we have ever done. We were strapped in to our seats and our bags were stowed so we were apprehensive but it was amazing. The floor dropped away and we could swear we were in a helicopter flying low over Canada. We even got sprayed in the face when we "flew" over Niagara Falls! If time had permitted we would have done it again. My advice was if you are ever in Vancouver don't miss it. We told so many people about it, even locals who didn't know about it
