An excellent afternoon trip to Giverney and the Garden. Picked up from the hotel early afternoon and a fast route to Giverney with our Guide and driver Nicholas providing information about Giverney and Monet and the gardens on the way. Just four of us on the tour that afternoon, which was a nice small group and we all stayed together to look around the gardens and when in Giverney. When we arrived the place was busy but Nicholas dealt with all the entrance requirements quickly and calmly and had given us useful guidance on the best way to see the gardens and exactly where to meet at the end of the afternoon. The gardens were wonderful - even better that I had expected - and although very busy there was still a calmness to appreciate this rather special place. It was a fairly quick look around the house and a brief look around the gallery in Giverney. Our group had stopped for refershments after the gardens and the house so could have had more time in the gallery. As we left Giverney Nicholas asked if anyone was in a hurry to get back to Paris. As no one was he drove us back through the countryside and villages pointing out many things along the way. This was a very well organised and relaxed and enjoyable trip and Nicholas could not have been a better Guide - would definitely do it again and certainly recommend it to anyone.
