Being a rail fan I really enjoyed the tour as did my partner. The lunch box was good as was the stops at the other locations. Highly recommended.

This was my 4th time on this train. I took 3 days off work and spent several hendreds of
dollars in air fares from Sydney, accomodation, car hire and booking the premier carriage
because of the ability to ride on the rear platform and see the railway from that view.
The best part for me is to be able to see the system from the rear, especially from
Dubbil Barril. Can you imagine my TOTAL disappointment to get there and find that
we were stuck in behind the locomotive? From that moment I lost all interest in the trip.
I consider that to be promotional blunder. If that is anything to go on,no wonder the
railway has been suffering financially. If they get it running again,a bit more thought
will be needed when marshalling carriages for those who pay the premium fare. It
seemed to that they just did'nt care. One thing for sure, I won't be back.
