The Hoover Dam tour itself was crazy busy, but I think that is normal for most places anymore. Lots of waiting and walking, just be prepared if you book. The cruise on Lake Mead was relaxing and a different view of the desert and manmade feat. Get great pics from the backside of the dam. Enjoyed lunch while cruising and even was able to buy a margarita to enhance my cruise! Bus/tour guide was fabulous! Not only told us about what we were seeing, but gave great info about the area as far as living here. This was great as we just had relocated to the area and needed to know. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars, is that the start of the day was messy, first driver going in circles, confused as to who and where he should pick up. Tour group blamed it on hiring sub-lease bus service, but I think that if you are going to hire someone to represent you, then keep track of how they perform. Made us a bit late for our tour and then others had to wait for us!Reviewed by: pmreichel, April 2014
Bus trip part very good. Hoover dam plant experience good but because it was so busy getting through security and then on the tour - time went so fast. Felt we could have done with more time at the dam area. Boat trip great! Good value for money trip though.Reviewed by: Rose K, April 2014

Vernon doing hotel pick ups, excellent.
Quality of coach used for tour was very poor-banging of rear axle, cellotape on internal lights!
Driver Ron not inspiring confidence- unsure of way and workings of coach etc.
Reversed into pillar in Dam car park!
Food on boat poor-
Wife vegetarian, no choice!
Very cold day....mother nature foul. There were lots of lines to stand in to participate in the Hoover Dam tour... we had to be back on the bus before we could go look at the pictures or historical part of the dam. The boat would have been nice if the weather had been better...if it's moderately cool, I suggest a coat or jacket. I had a brought a coat but was uncomfortable the majority of the trip. On a warm day I would have enjoyed the 90 minutes.Reviewed by: viola a, April 2014
