3-Day Yosemite Camping Adventure from San Francisco
On Day Two you will enjoy a full day of hiking, sightseeing and exploring Yosemite's stunningly beautiful High Country. See such iconic Yosemite sights such as Yosemite Falls, Half Dome and Tunnel View. Take a gentle stroll to May Lake, a picturesque High Sierra lake, and head onwards to Mount Hoffman (snow conditions depending) and take in the 360-degree view of the surrounding mountain landscape. At the end of the day you will head back to camp for dinner and time to unwind by the campfire.
Day Three is a free day, with the itinerary based on the interests of the group. Choose from a number of great hikes, rent a bike, or simply relax in the shade by the emerald green Merced River. In May, June and early July, you also have the option of joining a whitewater rafting trip on the Merced River (additional cost, and depending on conditions). After a full day in the great outdoors, head back to San Francisco refreshed and revitalized from your trip to Yosemite National Park.

Camping: Camping is easy, but cooperation is important. Don't worry if you've never camped before, many people haven't. You will be supplied with all the camping equipment necessary for a trip of this nature, using quality tents, camping and cooking equipment. Everybody is expected to participate in setting up and breaking down camp and the professional guides are available to attend to your needs to ensure a positive camping experience. We camp at the best campsites, with hot showers and modern facilities. Swimming is available nearby. Please inform us if you will need a sleeping bag during the booking of this tour
Tents: We use 4 person tents but only have 2 people in each. In the case of odd numbers in your party, there is a chance you will be paired with another person of the same gender from a different party.
Food: You will be provided with the food, but not the chefs. You guys are the cooks, waiters, dishwashers and of course the guests. On leaving a city we stop at a supermarket and buy everything we need. The fare is a mixture of chicken, beef and vegetarian, all you can eat and very tasty. Most people eat better with us than they have done previously on their travels. Please inform us of any dietary requirements /concerns at the booking of this tour
Transportation: Tour operator uses comfortable 15 passenger vans with dual air conditioning and stereo sound. Our vans are fueled by Biodiesel, a vegetable oil-based diesel fuel, to promote green business. All of the vans have large roof racks for your luggage and the camping equipment
What to Bring: On your journeys you will need sneakers or hiking boots, shorts, T-shirts, swimwear, sun protection, a water bottle, flashlight, and something warmer in case there is a change in weather
Weather: June through September in Yosemite is hot and sunny with occasional afternoon showers. May and October days are warm with cooler nights. As with all mountain environments weather can be changeable so a layer of warm clothing is a good idea

What a trip! I usually prefer to go it alone and find my way around, but seeing as I was only in the area for a few days, I (hesitantly) decided to book onto this tour and hope that I might find a friendly group and a good tour guide - we,, I couldn't have wished for more! The group was a great mix of people from all walks and countries, and the guide was a real expert in his field. I could pick his brains about many a subject and he would always provide a knowledgable and experienced answer, or provide the resources for us to able to find out in way of books and field guides. The guide really enhanced the trip for the whole group, and we were all delighted with his friendly manner, obliging attitude, and expert knowledge. A better guide I could not imagine! And, of course, the views and hikes were second to nothing I've ever experienced! The pictures speak for themselves...!
