Pompeii Day Trip from Rome

Our experience with this tour was very positive. We were greeted by two very well informed and gracious guides. The information they provided was very interesting and certainly not boring. We were treated to an excellent meal of real Napoli pizza and wine. I must include that the bus was new and very comfortable.
The highlight of this tour was the visit to Pompeii. The archaeological site was fascinating and we spent a long time visiting the ruins guided by a wonderful man who filled us with stories and funny anecdotes of the history of Pompeii. Although we were disappointed that the trip to the top of Vesuvius was cancelled due to potential thunder storms, we were instead taken to a very interesting museum which made up for some of the disappointment. In all,the trip was worth it and very highly recommended.

A very well organised tour. The 2 accompanying guides were knowledgeable an friendly. They got the mix right between too much talking over the coach mic and passing on information about the places we passed on the journey. Pompeii was amazing. The guide there was also informative and amusing. Great views from the top of Vesuvius so well worth the short hike, however, don't expect any special facilities halfway up a mountain. The tour is highly recommended.

Fantastic day out . The guides on the bus were good. The guided tour of Pompeii was amazing. The Pizza and glass of wine after the tour was really good. Then a short climb to the crater of Mount Vesuvius was just awesome . The views over the Bay of Naples are brilliant . This trip was worth the money .

Stephany was great! She was very knowledgeable, personable and friendly. She spoke clearly and knew a lot of things unrelated to the tour. At the end of the tour, she had recommended a fantastic restaurant in Piazza Navona that was spectacular....typical outdoor dining w great food, location and service. She seemed to really know and loved the area. We highly recommend this tour.

The guides were passionate and provided extra details which were interesting and extremely useful. This is a must see even if you have done enough ruins...the size and what they had achieved back then was amazing.

If we had not booked this trip we would have mnissed one of the key attractions in Italy.
It is highly recommended for tourists visiting Rome who can spare a day.
A special mention about the two tour guides Sirina and Sophie- they were just excellent, not only were they friendly and receptive they shared lot of information not only on the history but things to do in Italy which made the long journey enjoyable. Three cheers to them!!!
A small suggestion- the time allocated for Mt Vesuvius may slightly be increased.
