A great tour with a knowledgeable guide. Should have been a group but we were the only people, so it was a private tour really! The driver pointed out all sorts of interesting things on the journey and then knew his stuff about Malacca. He was not overbearing and left us to lunch alone, which was good. Lunch was a bit of a disappointment as we had no choice, three barely warm dishes (fish, chicken and vegetables) and rice were delivered. Not much flavour and I'm allergic to fish! Restaurant was in a traditional house, so the surroundings were great. Our guide took us to a couple of shops (traditional Nonya shoes, Chinese bound-foot shoes and traditional dress. However there was no pressure to buy which was appreciated. All in all very good and an amazing place to see.

Seri was our Guide. The whole tour was fantastic, we really enjoyed ourselves being submerged in Malaysian culture.

This Temple was fantastic to view in reality

A most enjoyable trip we had been to Malaysia before but never to malacca. The tour guide was very knowledgable and friendly as were the other six people on the tour. The inclusive meal was very good .

I was ill in KL so my sister had to go by herself. Other two people who booked were also ill, so she was all alone. It was fine, the guide was most informative and didn't skimp anything. He even took her to see someone's kitchen garden in a village on the way back as they had discussed agriculture and self sufficiency! Only let down was the lunch. Usual restaurant was closed, substitute not wonderful for food or ambience. It was huge and full of tourists but no-one spoke to her except the waiter. Something smaller and friendlier would have been appreciated. Overall, the trip was fine, and I was sorry to miss it. The company rang me that night to offer to take me the next day, but alas we were leaving early for Heathrow. Kind thought, though.

2 star rating: It was OK, but could have been better

Was not what we thought it would be. We were 2 hours late to leave KL. Then some booked people missed pick up, so we sat and waited at Berjaya Times Square for 20 minutes. Tour guide tried, but didn't 'cut-it'. The food was disappointing. We were really looking forward to seeing a little more of Malaysia and at the end of it just wished we had stayed and explored more of KL. We did it and made the most of it... However we would not do it again, nor would we encourage others to do it.
