Great times at all three spots! Driver to Muir Woods was very informative and entertaining with his knowledge about the history of San Francisco.Reviewed by: Brian S, February 2014
Really great tour especially Alcatraz. The Redwoods weren´t spectacular as i thought it would be, but the busride there was a nice adventure and you saw a lot of the SF surrounding area. Funny busdriver with a lot of facts!Reviewed by: Benedict H, February 2014
I was picked up from the hotel by the airport at 7:45am. I was not told that my first tour, Alcatraz, began at 10:30am. I sat in the tour office for about 2 hours doing nothing when I could have walked around the Wharf area during this time. Muir Woods was beautiful. Not enough time (40 minutes) in Sausalito. My suggestion is to ask for the specific times of the tours so that you may plan accordingly. There are many things to do near the tour office since it's two blocks from the pier.Reviewed by: Marilyn Z, February 2014
I would not recommend this tour. We were told to be there at 8:30 but did not leave until 10:00 on the tour. No restrooms available at the meeting location. We arrived at Alcatraz at 10:45 but had to leave at 12:55 because the tour bus driver told us we had to be back waiting out in front of the pier by 1:30 and that he could not "hang around" waiting because they are not allowed to park on the street. The description of the tour on the web made it sound like we would stop for lunch but instead we were told we better get sandwiches on our way out of the pier because there would be no time to stop anywhere, this meant we had to leave Alcatraz even earlier or have no way to get food. Then the bus picked us up outside the pier and took us back to the original meetup spot and we all had to get off that bus and were supposed to get on another bus with a different driver to go to Muir Woods and Salsalito. Then the tour operators decided the bus was not the one they wanted so they told they were going to get another one that would be more comfortable, so we waited, and waited. After 30 minutes standing around they told us to get on the same bus that had been sitting there the whole time because the other bus was not coming! So we got such a late start out to Muir Woods that by the time we finally stopped in Sausalito the shops we all closed or closing! These tour people did not have their act together, we spent more time standing around then seeing the sites due to their poor planning.Reviewed by: Jane V, March 2014
EXTREMELY disappointed with this tour. @Sausalito we didn't stop long enough (only 1 hour) to do anything. The drive to Muir Woods was the only worthwhile part because i didn't have to drive on unfamiliar roads. I wish I hadn't wasted my money on this tour.Reviewed by: Mary M, February 2014
