The trip was great and perfect to discover San Francisco at our pace. We did not have to worry about driving around and parking - just step in the bus and let someone do the drive! We got to see so much, busy China Town, restaurants and attractions at the Fisherman's Wharf and its well known local resident - a colony of sea lions living there permanently! We had some nice tea at the Japanese Garden in the Golden Gate Park, a nice relaxing stop. Of course, the highlight of the trip was Alcatraz, and the whole cruise and organization was great. There is so much to see on the Island and the audio-tour is very well made, you really feel you are back in time and could picture the gangsters in their cells. I didn't know families and kids lived there! A very informative tour! You can spend a good 3hour there so the 2-day ticket is definitely worth it to enjoy the other stops as well.

I had heart a lot about Alcatraz but I still learned a great deal during this tour - from the escapes and the stories behind some of these guys - just amazing. The audio-tour is very well made and allows you to discover the place at your pace and wonder how it was then. This was, together with the bus tour, was a great way to discover San Francisco and its top attractions without rushing. Definitely worth doing.

I live in the Bay Area and never got to see Alcatraz until my parents came to visit - well, I wished I had done it earlier! What a fantastic place, so rich in history and not just as the prison. You can discover the stories behind "The Rock" with the great audio tour and you can also explore the island which has great flowers and lots of birds. We had a great time in China Town and Fisherman's Wharf, and enjoyed tea at the Japanese Garden while the cherry trees were blossoming - how better can it be?

Excellent tour. The guide was very informative and friendly. Great tour to do on your first day to find your feet in San Francisco. Then you can use the bus on the second day to go back to the spots and explore them in more detail.
