The tour guide was very informative and provided interesting commentary. The bus was very comfortable and this tour was very organized with time at the stops very well coordinated. The lunch was very nice. Thank you!Reviewed by: Carol G, December 2013
This was an amazing day! We took the private tour in the 8 passenger van and it was so awesome! It was a busy busy day, and long, but well worth it. Our tour guide Nicolas was very knowledgeable. His accent was very strong and sometimes his English was difficult to understand, but we manage and he was so nice! We stopped at a beautiful little restaurant that's part of the tour. Amazing and just added to the whole experience. We would certainly recommend this tour for anyone who loves history and war history especially. It was very moving walking through the American Cemetary. Be prepared to be chilly on the beaches as the winds are high most times...so dress accordingly! Enjoy...we certainly did .Reviewed by: Lynne H, November 2013
We were very pleased with the Normandy Battlefields tour. The guides were both knowledgable with very good presentation skills and the bus and driver that carried us there and back, were great.
Thank you for a terrific day.Reviewed by: James E. B, November 2013
I thought the tour was terrific. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and she kept the group on track without being pushy. We had a terrific lunch at the museum and the bus was very comfortable. The sites and beaches of Normandy were extremely moving. I thought the amount of time at each venue was about right based on the logistics of the trip. The driver who picked me up at my hotel was over 20 minutes late in the AM, plus the other 20 minutes I was told to be ready outside the hotel prior to the scheduled pickup time.
Overall a great expereinece and I would recommend Viator to others.
A long coach ride on a fairly uncomfortable bus. No map or other literature was handed out to explain the tour and locations.
On the way back to Paris the coach had to stop at a gas station because by either law or union requirerment the driver needed a half hour break. All the rest stop concession store had was unattractive packaged snack food.
When arriving back at the tour terminal in Paris no shuttle bus was available for our prepaid return to our hotel. The agent was rude and impolite and would not tell us how long it would take to get the shuttle bus, she just said "this is Paris you know".
Over all a third class tour!
