Everything about this experience was wonderful. Enjoyed our tastings at the food market with Sonya. She was a wonderful "hostess" and very knowledgeable about the different types of balsamic vinegars, olive oil, cheeses and more.

On the cooking front we had great fun not only creating a delicious Italian meal but learning cooking tips along the way. Looking forward to trying the recipes again at home. This is a memorable day for aspiring chefs - I thoroughly recommend it.

Overall, this was a good experience. We went to the market first and had a few food tastings, which was really fun and so yummy! And the cooking class itself was awesome. We made the most amazing homemade pasta and sauce, ravioli, bruschetta, and tiramisu. Chef Giovanni is an excellent chef. But he kinda knows it and in the beginning I was frustrated by his slightly arrogant attitude. He is not incredibly friendly. But his sous-chef, Chef Davide, is very friendly and made up for it. :) Once we got past the first couple hours and Giovanni got into his element of cooking and teaching, it got really fun. I learned a lot and this was definitely my favorite meal in Italy! This is a long class though (we didn't get done until 3:30pm)- it definitely takes most of the day! But it's worth it to be able to take a cooking class in Florence. :)
