Head for the hills and experience the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains on this small group day trip from Sydney. Travel on a complete loop of the World Heritage listed Blue Mountains and see many hidden locations away from all other tourists. This unique small group tour offers the most amazing experience to the Blue Mountains National Park. You'll also come face to face with native Australian animals, such as kangaroos, Tasmanian devils, wombats, dingoes and as well as a massive variety of birds and reptiles.
The first stop on your Blue Mountains Eco tour is Featherdale Wildlife Park. You'll arrive at the park before any other tourists and enjoy an exclusive breakfast with the koalas (if option selected). Breakfast includes a selection of fresh fruits, croissants, bread rolls, ham, cheese, juice, tea or coffee.
Continuing on, you'll head through the northern section of the Blue Mountains National Park, stopping at a number of spots for short walks and to enjoy the stunning views of these remote regions and learn about the flora. As you pass through Hartley Vale, be on the lookout for kangaroos grazing in the pastoral areas.
Lunch is in the heart of the Blue Mountains at the Katoomba Golf Club where you will enjoy a 2-course meal (if option selected), or your guide will take you to Scenic World, where there is buffet or cafe lunch to choose from (at your own expense).
After lunch you will visit Scenic World, where you can ride the Scenic Rail, the world’s steepest incline rail. The 415m descent will take you through a cliff side tunnel down into an ancient rain forest. From here, you are free to explore the Scenic Walkway which will guide you through the forest to the Scenic Cableway platform. Take the gondola for spectacular views of the Three Sisters and the rain forest.
The final stop of the day is Wentworth Falls lookout, with views scanning across from Kings Tableland to the Jamison Valley. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine and see the mountains enhanced by the stunning colors of late afternoon sun.
Please note: Scenic Rail and Scenic Cableway are at your own expense and not included in the price of the tour. As of April 01, 2012, Breakfast with the Koalas option, will no longer be available. Tour itinerary will change to include morning tea in Bilpin.
