This is by far the best way to see Amsterdam. The tram service was easy to use and understand. I just wish I had more time to see more museums! Best buy of our trip.

The I amsterdam Card is an absolute must when visiting Amsterdam. Everything about the card is worthwhile - free entry, discounts, unlimited transport, canal trip. The only thing to be aware of is that if you are collecting your tickets from the tourist office opposite Central Station you need to get a ticket number which you use to queue and will be call on when an operator is available. This is not made clear at all within the tourist office nor is the ticket machine in a prominent position.

WE DID NOT USE THE CARD AS MUCH AS WE COULD HAVE BUT I FEEL THAT WE STILL GOT OUR MONEY'S WORTH.WE DID THE TRAMS OFTEN,THE CANAL CRUISE, SOME RESTAURANTS,AND SOME MUSEUMS.BUYING THE CARD FROM VIATOR GIVES YOU TWO OPTIONS FOR PICK-UP.SINCE WE ARRIVED BY CRUISE SHIP, WE WENT TO THE CITY CENTER TO GET THE CARD.I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU CAN PURCHASE THE CARD AT OTHER LOCATIONS IF YOU WAIT TO BUY IT WHEN YOU GET THERE.THAT MIGHT BE MORE CONVENIENT DEPENDING ON WHERE YOUR HOTEL IS LOCATED.
