Mount Rigi Winter Day Trip from Zurich

Board a comprehensive full day tour from Zurich and visit Mt. Rigi, Queen of the Swiss Mountains at 6000 feet (1800 meters). Your guided coach tour also includes a cable car ride, a decent down the oldest cogwheel train in Europe and a trip to the sun terrace above Lake Lucerne with its unique views over the snow-capped Alps!

Next you're off to Weggis, from where a cable car and cogwheel train take you to the top of Mt. Rigi. Here you will have two and a half hours to soak up the breath-taking views, partake in an exciting downhill sledge ride or enjoy a walk in the snow. Admire the spectacular views over the Swiss Alps and thirteen lakes from the summit of Mt. Rigi.

Descent by cog-wheel train, followed by a romantic boat ride to Lucerne. Enjoy up to two hours at leisure to explore the charming Old Town. Return to Zurich, where the tour will conclude.

Please note:
This tour includes a multi-lingual guide throughout the tour except for travel up and down Mount Rigi and during the boat ride. For this part of the tour, you will receive timetables and detailed information sheets about the journey. You can choose to stay on the mountain for one or two and a half hours.

• The mountains of Switzerland offer unique exposure to the natural elements. Adverse weather can occur and enforce the closure of mountain transportation at short notice. Should a trip be canceled in advance of departure passengers can either claim a full refund, redeem their voucher for the same trip on an alternative day, or choose another trip of similar price and duration offered by the local operator. Should a trip be canceled after it has commenced passengers will either be re-routed to an alternative mountain or offered a Lucerne city tour and appropriate compensation.
